Storm
Since there's a lot of Arashi fans all over the world, I'd like to ask you guys:
How do you say 'Storm' in your language?
Since I'm from Malaysia, in Bahasa Malaysia, if we say 'Ribut' it means storm :3 So since I'd like to make a little list of sorts, I'd like to know how you'd say 'storm' in your language ^^
The list so far:
1. Malaysia: Ribut (pronounce: ree-boat)
2. Japan: Arashi (Kanji: 嵐, Hiragana: あらし)
3. Sweden: Storm (pronounce with a longer 'o' sound: 'stooorm') [Tack så mycket, Sofia!]
4. Hungary: Vihar (pronounce 'vee-har') [Köszönöm szépen, AnitafromH!]
5. Italy: Tempesta [Grazie, Martina Chan~!]
6. Mexico (& those who speak Spanish): Tormenta [Gracias, minaviga!]

I'm from Sweden, and actually we spell it just like that: STORM . Same as the english, just a little different pronounceation.
Hope it helps to make your list:)
well it's kind of hard to explain, but I guess you could say like this:
The O is sounding more like when english speaking people say a long OOOOO (you know when they're like surprised or something). The rest is about the same as english.
Does that make any sense at all?
i'm sure you know how to pronounce it^^
and also, doing my duties at aibakaland too...it just takes too much time there at the forum but i'm happy as long as i'm doing it for the love of our boys ^^ and then lots of reading at vox and LJ... i don't comment a lot but i do read the posts. Hope you're doing fine ;)
oo, Utaban was awesome! Loved the Hana Yori Arashi part though Nakai had to spoil it XD;; I was looking forward to watching Riida's performance too but they had to get into another fight lol~
oo, really? I didn't know about the differences in dialects ^^
Hai.. there's like over 300 dialects! XD
uwahhh...you're going next year? ;___; ii ne...don't think I'll save enough for a trip next year, even though I so want to go to commemorate Arashi's 10 year anniversary, but I'm sure all their other fans (local and overseas) are planning the same thing .____.
yeah, I can understand what they're saying well enough for my own comprehension...it's just the reading that's though X3;; I'm still struggling through my kata and hiraganas, though there are some kanjis that i can already recognize ^^
Yeah.. next summer. I'm trying to get some of you to meet up w/ me. HAHA So, we'll c. I hope I have enough money by them. I plan for like 2-3 weeks so I have tons of time to go look at everything. Plus, I want to attend an Arashi concert.
Hai! I'm bad at reading but I'm good w/ verbal... basically I'll pick up the language if I continue listening. hehe
oooo, going for their summer con too~ sugoi~ yosh, we'll see how this goes lol~ I'll try hard to get there by summer next year too! At least I'll a) know someone and b) someone that speaks English XD;; and of course, I'll get to meet yuuuu~ ♥ wow, 2-3 weeks? ahhh...my heart's saying "let's go, let's go now!" XD
uwah, atashi-tachi onaji desu yo ne? sugoi, sugoi~ lol, i think sentence structure still eludes me...Grammar sucks for any language, ne? ^^;;
In Thai we say "Paya"
Pa-Yu
i heart "Paya"
Yes yes.... it would be great to get a group of us from all over the place. Boy, I'll be 26 next year... *falls over* That means I can rent of car if needed. HAHA I want to go now too but no money. :p
Eh? I got desu yo... hahah
XD i said 'we're the same, aren't we? amazing, amazing~' :DD *squishies*
Ok.. I was wondering. XD I was like, 'this seems off?' To answer the question in
English, yes. hehehe
You can also add to your list polish 'burza' [yup, I`m from Poland - Stormy Boys are everywhere xDDD]
